2023 Legislation Day

SCATA along with Copper Dome Strategies, LLC hosted a successful legislative day. While at the legislative day Senator Shealy introduced the twenty-two athletic trainers in attendance to the Senate. Senator Shealy sponsored bill S.397 for athletic training licensure in January 2023. Athletic trainers in attendance focused efforts in meetings with their local senators to support bill S.397. Our efforts were able to get us two official co-sponsors to the bill in Senator Nikki Setzler and Senator Josh Kimbrell. Read full bill here.
